Lucknow / Gorakhpur: The Yogi Adityanath government, which is continuously working on strengthening road connectivity in UP, is preparing to start full traffic facility on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway by the end of this month. By the first week of June, 97 percent of the work of this expressway has been completed. With the start of this expressway, the Gorakhpur region will be connected to Lucknow, Agra and Delhi through Purvanchal Expressway through a fast and smooth traffic corridor.

One of the priority projects of CM Yogi Adityanath, the Gorakhpur Link Expressway will start from Gorakhpur Bypass NH-27 near village Jaitpur and end at Salarpur in Azamgarh district on Purvanchal Expressway. The total cost of this 91.352 km long expressway is Rs 5876.67 crore (including expenditure on land acquisition). This will benefit the districts of Gorakhpur, Ambedkarnagar, Santkabirnagar, Azamgarh. Gorakhpur Link Expressway will provide fast connectivity and pleasant travel experience. It will also help in bringing the people of the neighborhood closer to each other.

According to the information available on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority, 97 percent construction work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway has been completed. Clearing and grubbing work in the main carriageway has been completed 100 percent, soil work has been completed 100 percent. Out of the total 341 structures proposed on the expressway, 337 have been built, while the construction work of others is being done at a fast pace.

Few days ago, Commissioner Anil Dhingra has given instructions to complete the work of Link Expressway by the end of this month by accelerating the construction work in the review meeting of big projects. With this expressway, people of a large area of ​​​​eastern Uttar Pradesh will take only three and a half hours to reach Lucknow. Apart from this, you will be able to enjoy the journey from Delhi to Agra to the fullest. The construction of this expressway will pave the way for all-round development of the Gorakhpur region.

This expressway will increase the income of agriculture, commerce, tourism and industries along with the social and economic development of the covered areas. It will also be helpful as an industrial corridor to connect various production units, development centers and agricultural production areas located in the covered areas to the national capital. The Yogi government is also building industrial corridors on both sides of the expressway.
